Rita
Rita joined the La Nueva 99.5 FM and 1020 AM team in June 2015, becoming the first female on-air talent. She co-hosts the morning show with longtime radio personality Oswell Reza.
In 2020, Rita was named a finalist in the Local Personality of the Year category of the Medallas de Cortes competition, the most coveted and prestigious awards within the Hispanic radio industry.
At the beginning of her career, Rita worked as a Community Health Worker with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, educating the Hispanic community about tobacco prevention. She also worked as a Patient Financial Advocate at OneWorld Community Health Centers. As an Entrepreneur, Rita Co-founded and directed from 2012-2017 the first Quinceañera magazine in Nebraska.
Rita is the founder of Monarkia Productions, an organization that produces eight of the most significant beauty pageants in the industry. She’s also the director of MNK Institute, a young women Leadership Academy that promotes mental health through modeling, dance, fashions shows and pageants.
She graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor’s in Communications Arts. Rita is happily married raising her two boys, André, 4 years and Bástian, 5 months.
